We believe in the power of “POP-ing” people. That’s POP—“praise on paper.” So we highlight “best practices” and simple but powerful ideas of businesses or people as a regular feature of SOAR-Q. This is like having an electronic link into some of the best ideas and practices of organizations around the nation! Enjoy!

Guess Who's Getting POP'd . . . Chick-fil-A!
After reading the November edition of SOAR-Q, a subscriber in Dallas, TX, suggested we POP a Chick-fil-A location. Here’s her story . . .

In August, our subscriber went to Chick-fil-A with her daughter, ordered lunch, and discovered she did not have enough cash to pay for their order. She was dismayed to find that no credit cards were accepted.

Her server, seeing the problem, immediately soothed her concerns and suggested she keep the receipt and pay the next time she came in. Like our consultant who was startled when the Mail Boxes Etc. offered her an IOU box (November SOAR-Q), our subscriber says she was so startled by the suggestion that she simply did not know what to say. She thanked the server “profusely” and continued with a great lunch.

Yes, she reports that she did return to Chick-fil-A to pay for that lunch as well as a new one! It appears Chick-fil-A created an extremely loyal customer, who has now told thousands of other people through this edition of SOAR-Q. Hmmmmmm . . . two chicken dinners is not a bad investment for that kind of customer loyalty plus advertising!!

Kudos to Chick-fil-A staff and owner Jeff White at 7718 N. Central Expressway in Dallas TX. Consider yourselves POP’d!

We’ve talked a lot about our customers in recent editions . . . now let’s focus on the employees who make all this happen . . . What manager or company has startled their employees with an act of good faith and solid commitment??

Let us know who deserves to be POP'd!
